But, I am trying...and I feel better, even if the scale is lieing to me ;-).

And then there's work...good ol' RRD- wouldn't be so bad if I could teleport back in time to the days before corporate take over aka take a job that once was 3 steps and turn it into a 8 pages-of-steps issue...in short, its exhausting! I do love my job, don't get me wrong, I really do. I have EXCELLENT management, a few good friendships gained, and seemly room to grow. [[not to mention a all so fabulous office in London...you know, just in case ;-) ]]

In all RRD has been a blessing- but more and more these days I see people moaning and droning around the office and there's just not that good ol spirit anymore- which I really miss! P and I were watching an episode of "The Office" the other night ((Pretty much a ritual in our nightly routine))
and there was a part where their shooting a commercial for their plant and trying to come up with ideas, and one guy says "when people hear I work for Dunder Mifflin they assume we seel mufflers....or muffins"...lol Maybe it's just funnier to me because I feel so much like I can relate- but instead of getting calls about yummy muffins or broke down cars I'm instead getting calls asking for an appointment with their Gyno. or to pick up an Rx for their "painful itching"...seriously, we get some V-E-R-Y interesting people calling on a daily basis up here!!

Tonight I have a vendor bowling night- I'm actually really excited- it's for one of our top vendors and were all really good friends! I haven't seriously bowled since I was about 10, and the only other time I've been since I sent the ball hurdling backwards towards P not one time, not twice but THREE times... sorry babe...promise it was a total mistake!

So, yea...not exactly the best bowler out there- but their will be good food, good drinks (yea) and great company which makes these all worth going to! Here are some pics my beautifully talented friend Amanda G. did of my little sis and her friends before the party- she is an AMAZING photographer and by the grace of god* I found a break in her busy schedule to sneak in some family photo time of my own coming up in November (I can't WAIT).

Stunning, aren't they?

John-Mark has been one VERY lucky kindergartner- almost every Friday since the first week of school he has had lunch dates with Granny or myself!! I don't know if I could have the...errr...courage* to try and corral 18 5 year old every day {{Wheweeeey}}, but I did love watching them pay such close attention to my every word wondering what could possibly happen next in my story! I read about five different books in between "we love your hair Mrs.Krys" and "Are you in school too Mrs. Krys" and then it happened- Clifford the BIG (apparently scary) red dog barged into the class and scared the every loving day lights out of the kids. lol I know that shouldn't be funny, but the things the kids said should of been taped!! One girl grabbed her friend and screamed "That's just like the scary rat at Chuck E. Cheeseeeee" lol I can't wait to have the opportunity to do that again soon!!

Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-33359068352574549902010-08-31T18:09:00.002-05:002010-09-09T12:24:59.816-05:00Goodbye Ms.Roberston, Hello Mrs.Basham!Wow...one week in and already JM is in for a world of change! I got a call from the Principal of Copeland today informing me that JM's sweet, kind teacher Ms.Robertson would be leaving to teach at another school in the district due to higher numbers of schoolers than expected! I was devastated, I remember this happening to me once in 4th grade and it really just stunk!!

When JM got home today, I let him know the situation and tried to ease him into the realization that as of tomorrow his class will change, his teacher will change and unfortunately so will some if not most of his classmates! He took it really well, and even said they got to go visit with her today and learn some about her class! Tomorrow is the day of the "big move" so I guess we will see then what all the hype is about! Tonight is Open House and we will actually get to meet her tonight too which may help him adjust!

I've signed up to volunteer reading to the class on my Friday's off and doing other odd end projects for her as she needs. I wish I could be as involved as my mom was, when I was younger but unfortunately my schedule interfere some. :) I have a feeling I'll be blinking my eyes and it will be Christmas already and then wake up the next day to summer vacation!! P and I are hoping to take the kids somewhere big this year, maybe even to Cali to visit my family (which I know my grandparents would LOVE). Until then its save-save-saveee and plan-plan-plannn. 2 things I'm pretty good at, maybe we could take a cruise instead!? ;0)

Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-29650512770699280712010-08-23T12:02:00.001-05:002010-09-09T12:09:10.480-05:001st day of Kindergarden!Today was John-Mark's 1st day of kindergarten...1st year of big boy school, and first year in a completely different school than B! I was so0o0o nervous in the days leading up to this- thinking of what he would feel like, what B would feel like and how emotional the whole process would be.

Just like any August day in Houston it was 1234756689 degrees with about 100% humidity. It was HOTT...did I mention that JM wanted to W-A-L-K to school?!? Yea, hot!

Anyways, as hectic as it was, it went very smoothly! We blended in well with the swarms of kids eager to start their 1st days and parents eager to get back into their normal routines! We got to the school in perfect time and got to walk him all the way to his class! (we had meet the teacher the night before, so we already knew what a sweet woman Ms.Roberston was!)

JM got settled in, put his supplies away and sat smiling at all of his new friends! I can't wait for the weeks to go on to see how he adjusts to everything!

The rest of the day, P and I took B on her special "Girls day"...shopping at the mall, piggie back riding through the parking lot and lots and lots of giggles and of course cookies! Ha! One more week til September! "s0, what else is going on with you...besides raising the future".

I mean really, have you ever thought about it that way? I know daily I struggle to make sure I'm raising my children to be polite, respectful, well mannered children but I never stop to think the impact my raising now will have on their future. To be honest with the way things go around my house (AKA 10000 miles per hr) I hardly have time to stop and daydream about what the days will be like when the kids are full grown! I try to be the best Mom I can be, everyday so that when the day comes SEVERAL SEVERAL S E V E R A L years from now that my children are raising children of their own, they feel like they have learned all the good stuff from me!

It's bizarre to imagine but even the smallest things today can shape and mold their young minds and ultimately design their future. That one small trip to the space center could send my son on a path of aeronautical engineering, or a pony ride for B's birthday can make her want to be a vet or trainer or just someone who enjoys a game of polo now and again! lol you never know, strange...huh? It really makes you think about the day to day- the hustle and bustle of life and how you handle things.

Which got me thinking even more- I know how young I was when I had JM, but I look at friends of mine today, or on TV that just could not even handle a baby NOW let alone five years ago!! People have always said that having a baby makes you grown up, but it doesn't- you have to be the one to make the self conscious effort to want to grow up and be a good parent to your child! I see so many young moms and dads that really are just not 'right for the job' in so many ways! Living with your parents still and depending on them to raise your now, what six year old child is absurd!?! Working at the 7/11 because its easy even though you know you don't make enough money to take care of your child, is NOT being a good parent. When I think about being a mom, for me it was such a bitter sweet thing. Yes, I missed out on things like Prom, and being a freshman in College, and late night parties at frat houses, but I gained three amazing beautiful children, a respect for myself that I wouldn't of got living day to day pay check to pay check just to have money for beer, and the opportunity to raise our future! :D I feel so lucky, and so blessed that I took the selfless road and decided to be a Mom, and not just have the title.

You have to be willing to give it all, and then 10% above and beyond that! If there were anything today I could instill in my children it would be this- a great work ethic, a true and pure love for God, and a open, helping heart. I want my children to BE the future, not just part of it! I want them to make their mark, and leave behind memories and legacies they can be proud of- that I an be proud of knowing I had a hand in creating that future! I know my kids are only three and five, but every day that passes they grown and learn and progress into their ever expanding futures- so, you can never be too ready!

My advice for any new parent, or mommy of the future is to be selfless- give your all + your 10% extra, take a leap of faith and struggle when you have to! Instill great values and morals in our youth to ensure that we all, they all have the future they deserve!Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-75863660332382774112010-07-22T09:38:00.005-05:002010-07-22T13:27:49.021-05:00End of an Era

So this has been me latley at work- with all this new conversion stuff going on it's been leaving my desk full and my brain stretched to it's means! But, there is an end in sight! I can now see the corners of my desk, take a minute of my time to walk the plant for a diet coke and start to breath a little easier! I never thought I'de say having my job outsourced would be a good thing, but new opportunities are sure to present them selves even in the most bizarre situations! PATIENCE it what I have to practice, which for anyone that knows me is pretty near impossible!

For now I'm taking the Mary-poppins-ish route, and delighting in knowing that in just a few short weeks there will be no more vendor calls for payment, no more researching long lost checks or filing copious amounts of unnecessary paperwork! Ahhh just to type that out makes my shoulders feel lighter- I know Bob (boss man) will take care of me, he always does- and somehow someway will create an amazing job from scratch for me that i will love...er- learn to love! ;)

This weekend I plan on "escaping" with the kids for splashing around in the pool, visiting with friends and family and maybe even venturing out to Chuck-E-Cheese (since we do have about 100 tokens left over from out last 4hr visit!!!!) Something small, yet still very appreciated by them right now! I love that about the age their still at- amazed and pleased with the small things. I don't remember if I've written about our new complex yet, but they have a fabulous resort style pool with a splash pad, putt putt golf, sand volleyball AND an amazing park- did I mention I love it here? We'll on any day it's not raining or still muddy from the rain, I take the kids out to run around and get their sillies out before dinner and bed! They love it, and I love that it's right there at our finger tips! No trip- no fees- just F-U-N fun!

What fun places around Houston do you go to, that are family friendly, and don't cost an arm and a leg?

Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-44427466645662544902010-07-19T12:41:00.002-05:002010-07-19T13:01:07.749-05:00Before I'm 30..Reading through blogs the other day, I stumbled upon a "before I turn 30" bucket list of sorts. So, what's on your bucket list?Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-84938942843600314132010-07-19T07:33:00.008-05:002010-07-19T08:04:43.675-05:00Our FIRST family vacayI've been blogger lazy lately, but work has consumed my life to the point where I find myself dreaming about Olmstead Kirk and Clampitt paper...gross!

Anyways, back to topic! A few weekends ago, P and I took the kids on what would be our very first, new family vacay. It went rather smooth, (Despite JM throwing up all over the couch cushion of our friends beach house)and we had a boat load of fun! Jeff and Ashley are really great friends of ours, and have two beautiful kids close to the same age as ours. It works out perfectly, and the kids all love each other and their mrs.Ashley!! :)
JM and B loved splashing around in the water, sticking close to shore and finding about 12 dozen sea shells for Phillip to inspect for "Sea babies" and decide if we should keep them for show! We ran, played, swam and fished! JM even reeled in his first catch ever and boy was he excited! We took the kids to Golden Coral to eat lunch, which was actually my first time ever going. Im not usually a fan of buffets, but this a perfect choice on P's part- the kids had a blast picking for the 7 different styles of food they offered and then loading up on the huge ice cream bar once we were done! The weekend ended with a sunday-funday with my parents, swimming and bbq'n at home and getting settled into the new apartment- which we, by the way L-O-V-E.

<img style="display:block; Goodness, it really flys by- and I feel like such an old woman saying that, but truly it does!

This past weekend we got to go to Orange, Tx to visit with sweet Baby O and the Tuckers. We always have such an amazing time there, they really have to be some of the most amazing people I have ever met! O is growing and G-R-O-W-I-N-G-G and looking more and more like JM and B every day! It's so wonderful to get to be so involved with him and see how much he changes every time we visit! I think my resolution for next year will be to try and take more trips to see him, even if only for the day! I have lots of pic's to post from his party and of his BABY GOAT- yes, baby goat, Billy he got for his birthday...never thought I would think a baby goat was adorable, but you'll have to see the pics! That little guy was adorable and had the cutest "Voice" (?) I guess is how you would say that!? Haha

This coming weekend is July 4th and so P and I are off to our 2nd annual River trip! Im really thrilled to go and spend time roughing it with good friends, but I also know how much I'll miss the little people! :) Then, once we get back we just have one short week before we move into our great big new apt! Im so excited, and so very ready to not only be on the 1st floor (Thank Jesus) but also to start over fresh for a new year, in a new place for the kids! Ill have to post pictures once we are all moved in!

For now, I'm slaving away at work, stomach gargling for lunch (Ummm hello its 11:30, that's LATE for me!) and counting down the days for these next few exciting weeks!!Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-1350302661486668762010-05-21T09:54:00.003-05:002010-05-21T10:04:58.622-05:00drive-inSo0o...this is defiantly where I'd like to be tonight...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S_aezXWs4DI/AAAAAAAAAbA/7xgGXfPtoos/s320/drivein.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5473737002395164722" />

I absolutely LOVE the drive-in movies! My dad used to take us when we were kids, and he lived in Ak. It was SO fun, and I have such fond memories of it! He would load us all up in his duly truck bring tons of blankets/pillows/jackets and we would hope to get there early enough to have a good spot! Then while he would unload and setup the speakers up we would go with Joanne to get loads of popcorn, hot dogs, hot tamales, jumbo pickles and everything else we could convince her we needed!! :-)

And tonight, P is letting me decide...do I wanna sit in planted seats, in an overly cooled movie tavern that yes, does serve the best strawberry margaritas ever but is still not quite the experience you get at the drive-in? OR, tuff the weather and let P sweat to death at the drive-in?? Hmmmm... haha. We shall see!!

Happy Friday!!!!!!!Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-23174161579557453472010-05-12T10:14:00.000-05:002010-05-13T10:47:33.183-05:0023Today was my 23rd birthday- I never expected it to ever go nearly as wonderfully as it did! Phillip has finals this week, so his schedule didn't really leave much time for celebrating, but he was not going to let that stop him for helping me have a memorable birthday!

Birthday festivities started Tuesday with a lunch/mall shopping-spree date with Mia to find the perfect, summer/birthday dinner dresses for our double-up that night. I found a strapless coral colored, sheath dress at XXI and FELL IN LOVE. The color was beautiful and I knew I had the prefect shoes- a hot pair or leopard print pumps!!
After work I rushed home, shower and changed and P picked me up to meet Chooch and Mia at BJ's for dinner. Dinner was DELISH and the company and conversations were the perfect mix! ;-) After dinner we did a little shopping then went home to tuck the kids into bed- a lovely night all in all.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wY8ALC_VI/AAAAAAAAAZg/R2p3etInMf4/s320/5+004.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470775066465860946" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 269px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wY7igqg7I/AAAAAAAAAZY/6-xlUmo4aoE/s320/5+003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470775058503467954" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wY7JTQ8QI/AAAAAAAAAZQ/b63Zd3ZgBAw/s320/5+002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470775051736379650" />
LOL.. okay, just to clarify since it looks like I'm attacking him- he was trying to take pictures with food hanging out of his mouth which is a huge pet peeve of mine!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 270px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wY609yWWI/AAAAAAAAAZI/rHSUnrONjqg/s320/5+001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470775046277585250" />

For my "Actual" birthday, I woke up a little late to multiple calls from family wishing me Happy Birthday. I rushed to get ready and headed off to work- when I got into work, this is what I saw -->
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-waQXfPemI/AAAAAAAAAZw/N9S7MorsUZ0/s320/5+007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470776515833592418" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-waQHNstHI/AAAAAAAAAZo/BkAmy3ZHVKE/s320/5+010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470776511465043058" />

It was so lovely- tons of love and gifts from my boss and co-woker, and even ended up getting 24$ pinned to my dress (started off rather odd, considering I was just walking through the plant to get Ice and a random print worker pinned the 1st one to me). LOL but, I digress!

THENNNN ( I Know, I'm spoiled), after work I met up with Jordyn and visited her new home which is stunning and still in the remodeling phases and then she took me and the kids out to dinner at Sakura (one of my favorites!!). When I got home, I was exhausted, sweaty and grose from the humid Texas air, and just ready to bathe and get in bed! I took a quick bath, and then P and I played "Iron Man Operation" and Dart shooters with B and JM. After we tucked them in for the night, and settled down our selves P gave me my gifts. I was COMPLETELY caught off guard since I though that Dinner the previous night was my gift!! He gave me a lovely card, P is so good about that- you can always tell he must of really spent time finding each one he gives you because they are so meaningful and relate so much to your true life at that moment. I do give him greif though, since he picks such lovely cards usually the only "Added bonus" you get from him is a signature and a few xxx's. I read my card, opened the inside and read the simple "to my Bbay, Love Phil xxxx Happy Birthday" the card was so beautiful it didnt even matter, I looked up at him with a smile and saw his coy look- he grabbed the card and peeled back a secreat 2nd page to the inside where he wrote a LONG lovely letter to me. I burst into tears and could barely read it all- I was so impressed, and felt so loved!!! We hugged and kissed and I went into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth- when I came out this was on my bed-->
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wdJg7pmLI/AAAAAAAAAaA/AkuIVYM5ylA/s320/makeup.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470779696644462770" />

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I was so excited- P and I have been looking at these for a long time- It's not that I wear "a lot" of makeup, but I am so insanely anal about being organized. He even took the time to line each drawer inside with that rubber matting you see inside kitchen drawers?...That was if there were ever a spill I could easily take it out and clean it- was a thoughtful thing to do! When I opened it to get a better look, there were TWO more surprises inside!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 262px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wdx9en1VI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/mOf6EDe71Go/s320/mksilver.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470780391502107986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 260px; height: 260px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wdxiTRI_I/AAAAAAAAAaI/XTsXAiLA59o/s320/burberry.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470780384206726130" />

Burberry Brit is one of my all time favorite scents and I've never actually owned any myself! I love it, and he remembered how much I've said I loved it in the past. The 2nd is a watch from Michael Kors I have been wanting SO SO badly- It's so elegant, but can be worn with anything! I love it, and it was actually not in the box, i lied a it was a beautiful necklace/earring set I showed him a few weeks ago- very pretty gold with dangling blue stones, it was lovely but after discussing it he knew I wanted the watch more and just didn't have the time to do so before I opened everything. I love this man- he spoils me with all he can, adores me, AND my kids, and makes me feel so worthy!

This has been the best birthday ever....23, who would'a thought!?

xxxKrystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-17945862674269412552010-05-10T08:48:00.002-05:002010-05-13T10:56:19.438-05:00Happy 5th Birthday, John-Mark!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wf79-kL_I/AAAAAAAAAa4/U11DTfS4tdw/s320/5+017.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470782762458034162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wf7AHV_FI/AAAAAAAAAaw/Ge4uc5JI3Is/s320/5+016.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470782745851853906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wf6yoRmqI/AAAAAAAAAao/jMWwEJHp8BE/s320/5+013.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470782742231882402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wf6HfTpdI/AAAAAAAAAag/wBRj-duCHDI/s320/5+010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470782730651542994" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S-wf5snoBaI/AAAAAAAAAaY/UPdZpBEh_ys/s320/5+011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470782723438675362" />Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-16534542836320110892010-04-30T08:05:00.003-05:002010-04-30T08:08:09.544-05:00Devilrays v. Don't get me wrong, I love watching little man crank out home runs, that turn out to be single base hits due to regulations and rules...love watching a heard of kids run from sporadic areas of the field to grab the ball first and then throw it to a base where no kids are ;-) In all honesty it's hysterical! I'm so proud of JM, he loves the game, he wants to understand it so badly and tries to help his team win every chance he gets!!

Here are a few pictures of JM in action, at both practice and their 1st game! If I ever figure out how to post videos on here Ill have to do that!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 246px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S9rUo__-GZI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/llCSnIYNyeI/s320/tball+2010+031.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465914898607118738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S9rUok08_bI/AAAAAAAAAYI/8L7EjcTZtXM/s320/tball+2010+027.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465914891313151410" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S9rUn_4W9cI/AAAAAAAAAYA/iVCHGsdDRb4/s320/tball+2010+018.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465914881395324354" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S9rUnklhA6I/AAAAAAAAAX4/oW_HqOE0unM/s320/tball+2010+013.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465914874068534178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zthTJriITEg/S9rUnZoyBYI/AAAAAAAAAXw/WpPk8vJIXdU/s320/tball+2010+008.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465914871129441666" />Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-38195330907723810482010-04-12T13:04:00.000-05:002010-04-12T14:14:41.831-05:00Getting to know me! Thanks, Amanda!!To play..copy the questions..answer them..post them.. easy enough!

The questions..

1. What color do you wear the most?

Work wise, I would have to say Black- anything can be paired with black, so it just makes the mornings SO much easier on me and getting the three of us out of the house, somewhat in a timely fashion!

2. Would you rather have $10,000 dollars or a dream vacation?

I would have to say the $10,000.00. One, because I would probably check my back account about 1232536 more times than I already do all day at work just to see that # in there. Second because I know how much that would mean to my little family- 10k could do a L-O-T for us!

3. Do you have a weird, quirky or unusual habit?

O0o Lord, lets see.. I have "nervous-stomach/habitual-overeating" disorder when in, around or thinking of being in a car on "long trips". ha. I hardly NEVER wear clothes around my house- lol a little personal, but I hate being restricted by anything and my view is I'm in my own house- but after seeing the news last week about the man charged with obscene nudity after a basically creep-o woman stared into his window and saw him making coffee sans clothes, I at least make sure the blinds are closed now ;-)

4. I really need to start..........?

C-L-E-A-N-I-N-G up around the house!! When I first moved into the Apt., Phil LOVED it because I didn't have my car on the weekends so when he would go to work all I would do is clean- the entire day!!! lol It was sad, it would at times smell like a lysol bomb went off in our place but I loved it! Now, I'm hardly ever at home long enough to do anything productive and lately when I do have extra time im stamping/crafting/playing...defiantly not cleaning.

5. What was the first blog you ever read?
McMama!!! God, I love this woman. She is AMAZINGGGG to say the least and her postings (sometime several a day, you are a blog-god) are never short of a good heart felt story, funny little tidbits or helpful ideas for people of MSC's (many small children). I read her posts daily as part of my morning ritual when I get to work- pretty sure the boss doesn't count that as part of my start-up plan, but to me it's a must.

6. Do you collect anything?

Hmm...I guess I collect crafting supplies? I'm slightly obsessed with papers, pens, stickers, stamps, ribbons, etc. and usually never step out for a day of shopping without hitting up Hobby Lobby or some other craft site. O, and willow people- although most now have their heads re-attached via super glue after growing up with my kids.

7. How old were you when you had your first kiss?7

7th Grade- Sean Williams....we'll that was my 1st BF kiss...is it sad that writing that just now gave me those butterflies back from 7th grade?

P.S. I facebook stalked him after writing that- he's a total hottie, go me!! haha

8. Do you text/twitter while driving?

Lie- NO, nope- neverrrrrrrrrrr...
Truth- Im bad about txting while driving, but usually just bad about internet-ing while parked at a red light.

How fun! I hope you (ahem...MISTY MAC) post something like this too!! xoKrystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-4881968461790173632010-04-07T13:33:00.000-05:002010-04-07T13:50:42.410-05:00April showers, bring May flowers!

April...o0o How I adore thee! I feel like it was just the start of a new "year"...at least school wise! Now I feel like Thanksgiving is creeping up and soon Christmas will be right at our door!!

This year has been F-A-S-T to say the least...but maybe that's not such a bad thing? My little girl is 3 now...3!?! Can you believe it? We had her party this past Saturday at Halter, Inc. A pumpkin patch/ranch type place close to our old house. The kids LOVED it of course, and thankfully we didn't get any rain! Ill have tons of pics to post soon, but since I broke my camera at Owens 1st birthday (Yes, its really-seriously been nearly 4 months and I still refuse to spend the money on getting another camera, even though I'm nearly dieing without one!) so, I'm a little dependant on others to capture those moments...and download them...ha. O well, all in good time.

My big grandma hasn't been doing well lately, and sadly last Thursday was admitted into the hospital with not a very good outcome- my mom rushed out Friday a.m. on the earliest flight she could to be with her- I haven't gotten to talk to her since she's been gone but I'm hoping shes getting as much out of the visit as she can.

Death is so hard, but it almost seems as though God gives you a silver lining through the practice of funerals or memorials....Not only are you celebrating the life of the one you love/lost, but it also brings together so many families and friends that you might not other wise get to visit with. Every time one life is lost, another is gained- so instead of asking God "Why her, why now??" I try to focus instead on what a great deed my love one did...what a selfless internal sacrifice they made to create new life.

Halloween is coming up, and I promised the kids we would go look at costumes sometime this week to decide what they want to be. The weather has been SO GROSS lately, that I'm really hoping it cools off before then, otherwise our options will be limited to anything netted, with shorts, or breathable fabrics! I remember B's 1st Halloween, she was only 21days old and the weather was miserable!! John-Mark was Batman, and B a ballerina =0) mosquito's were very abundant, and we pushed our heavy double stroller covered in mosquito netting, house to house to house until JM was satisfied. LOL, I would really not be thrilled with another year like that!!

Hopefully Ill be able to stay more on top of the blog, I have a laptop now (a old one...but perfect for what I need it for!) and the Internet at my apartment, so I should have no excuses now!

Love you all!
xx

p.s. "Happy Birthday Daddy!!" xoxo, JM and BKrystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-48946302480145265832009-08-11T09:29:00.000-05:002009-08-11T10:29:54.009-05:00A little bit too busy to say im busyGood morning!!!
This past month has been a complete whirlwind! Packing, moving, settling...its all so surreal. There are days when I still drive home to the old house- put my car in park and hear the kids say "mommy- we don't live at this big house no more!?!" Sad that Im getting directions on where my residence is from a 4 yr old!! So needless to say im dazed, I have good days and bad days- im human...therefor i air to make mistakes- right? Atleast I try to keep in good spirits, i actually like my tiny little apartment...I have wonderful neighbors, good parking, a beautiful pool and park for the kids, all in all i still have many blessings to count.
Ive began starting my days with a red bull- i know, i know not the best choice but its what helps to give me that kick out of bed and jump start my day. Even Bob (the boss man) has noticed a change in me- a numbness of sorts so Im trying my hardest to shake it. Going through all of this makes you appreciate everything so much more, appreciate the fact that I am 22 years old, that my kids are still young and learning, that i do have such a strong family and supportive sisters and praise god that I have a good STABLE job...but losing your family..its never easy.
So today- today im going to start my new life. Im going to focus on my kids more, make my new mistakes, sew my new oats- whatever it takes to make me feel like im a me again.
Thankfully, i have the most supportive friends- Jenny, Meg, Jordyn, Kristi, Jess- gosh i cant imagine what i would be doing right now without them in my life- these ladies have helped me through so much, carried me when i fell, held my hand when i was scared-i owe it to myself...to them to become a better me.

Today's a new day- and today, im going to seize it!

OK- is this not the cutest face ever??? This guy seriously has stolen my heart for the past 4 years!!!

On another note- the Houston Zoo is M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E during the dead of summer...thanks
for that "fun filled trip" Jenn ;o)

(Me and B at the Zooba-Zoo)
Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4231887986970743134.post-66396166605346626382009-07-23T19:30:00.000-05:002009-08-11T09:29:17.939-05:002 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS, ACCOMPANIED WITH 1 CASE OF A SINUS INFECTION AND 2 CASES OF STREP THROAT LATER....

Today is only Thursday July 30, 2009- just 2 1/2 short weeks after my latest blog yet I'm busting at the seams with all the events of the last 2 weeks alone. Last weekend (07/15-07/19) started off just about as any other real weekend does, the kids were worn out from the week and ready to rest and run wild for 2-3 days before getting back to the hustle and bustle of the school week. I noticed Thursday night that B had a little fever, 100.3 I think it was- high enough to want to give her Tylenol, but not concerning enough to race to the phone calling the Dr. The next day B's temp came and went in cycles- she would get a high fever and we'd give her the meds and she was fine- then 6-8 hrs later it would be back. On and on all day this was the pattern, so I gave her the last does of Tylenol that night after a cool bath and sent her on to bed. She woke-up Saturday a.m. in high spirits- she was bouncing around the house meowing and rubbing up against my legs while I made them breakfast in the kitchen. (Just to clarify- YES I am speaking about my 2 1/2 yr old daughter Bailee in this blog- NOT some sort of cat or kitten. She's just going through a rather strange phase where everything she encounters is being rubbed on her face. Do I understand it?..No, but I accept it.) Any who, she was absolutely fine from what I could see and was not complaining of any pain. We had made plans early in the week to go out and visit with our good friends Ashley and Jeff and their two BEAUTIFUL kids Kaden and Kaylie for the day in Sealy after stopping off at the outlet mall for a little shoe window shopping. With Bailee seemingly feeling better, we headed off without missing a beat. She did wonderfully at the mall- John-Mark and her both roamed freely from store to store without knocking things down or opening candies on the shelves...just behaving well and giving their opinions on anything and everything we would pickup. On the way out, we stopped at Bass Pro Shop and let them see the gigantic fish tank. Thinking it would be fun for the kids, my poor friend RJ held them up and put them inside the dome viewing tank (basically its just like at the zoo- there is a big plastic-like bubble that you can stand in and it seems as though you are in the fish tank) both JM and B began thrashing around violently- they were terrified that the fish would, as JM put it "suck all their air out of their noses and lick them." It was not going as smoothly as planned, so we packed the kids into the car and headed out to Sealy. When we got there the kids were elated, two kids their size to play with, a room FULL of new exciting toys and tons of land to roam on!

We ate lunch inside then let the kids go for rides on the wagon, eat popsicles, play gardener/lawn man as they blew leaves off the drive and, ahem over water what at the time were living/beautiful flowers and just get crazy. About half way through the day B began to complain she was tired- I felt her head and noticed she was burning up...I cooled her down with a cold bath, gave her some Motrin and put he r to bed. She stayed asleep for about 2-3 hrs and then awoke still warm- we continued the regime of Tylenol/Motrin every 4-6hrs until finally we left Sealy about 10 p.m. that night. (Not after a huge ordeal getting the car started, having to buy jumper cables in a town that shuts down at 6 p.m. and then ultimately having to buy a new car battery for 100$ later that weekend, but hey that's another story)

Sunday morning we woke up with a new light- got dressed, ate breakfast then lazed around the house. B was feeling bad as I could tell and really just laid around the house like a limp noodle. I began to worry and decided later that day that I had to do something- so i took her in to the local ER urgent care room down the street from our house. She hates Dr's offices and even more being in places that are new and scary to her. We waited what seemed to be a life time for the Dr to call us back and then sat alone in a Charlotte's web themed room waiting to be seen.... (this actually worked as amusement for sometime while we waited). About an hr later, the Dr came in did some tests took her diagnostics and deemed she had STREP THROAT...boo what a disaster that was!?!?!

Needless to say it was an eventful week and now just 1 short week later I have yet another child with Strep...thanks Dr's for not just giving me the meds up front to cover both of them...o well- o0o0 and BTW for any other uninformed parents out there- strep is VERY EXPENSIVE =0(
Krystinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02148307261187005970noreply@blogger.com0
